Tina Mellor

A 15 year old, is in the midst of scholar phase and loving every minute of it.  Her enthusiasm for life and her passion to make a difference are contagious.  She has loved taking LEMI scholar projects and being in a community of like-minded youth at United Scholar Academy.  Her peers elected her to be the Student Representative on the governing board which has allowed her to be a leader in real and meaningful ways.  Some of the hobbies she enjoys are doing gymnastics (before the broken leg and knee damage she sustained last summer!), developing her musical talents (piano, voice, flute) and spending long hours strengthening great relationships (Facebook, telephone and in person all work for her!)  She is beginning to do some competitive public speaking and is training to be a speech coach for Unleashing Your Voice!
